BREAKING: Magnitude 5.4 Earthquake Hits Other Part Of Luzon
ADVERTISEMENTS A magnitude 5.4 earthquake hit parts of Central and Southern Luzon and was felt in Metro Manila on April 4, 2017 (Tuesday) today at 9:00 p.m. The U.S. Geological Survey, National Earthquake Information Center estimated the epicenter's location at about 52 km west northwest from Batangas, Quezon, or 128 km west northwest from Manila, with a depth of 59.2 km. In an interview, right after the earthquake, Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) director Dr. Renato Solidum confirmed the earthquake's magnitude and location, adding that they will give more details as soon as these arrive. Initial PHIVOLCS reports indicate that the earthquake registered Intensity IV - Makati City, Obando, Bulacan Intensity III - Mandaluyong City, Quezon City, Gen. trias & Dasmarinas, Cavite, Santa Ana, Manila, Lucena City, Quezon Intensity II - Talisay, Batangas; Pasig City.
