This is Armando Basile, an Italian cyclist based in Germany. He just got here in Tarlac earlier today.

He stays in Cavite last Thursday evening with other cyclist team in Manila. He has ridden over 1 million kilometers, 6 times around the globe in a span of 33 years. About to turn 70 years old, he keeps his eyes set to doing more miles on his bike. His 50-kilo steel touring set up seems like a huge burden to most of cyclist, but this man is amazing.

Yup, 50 kilos.

Last Saturday morning he decided to ride up to Baguio and Sagada. Some of boys from Cavite Fixed Gear are going to ride with him to guide him through Manila's chaos until he reaches Valenzuela or Bulacan. From there he will be travelling solo all the way up north. Anything goes for him as he has a tent where he could pitch anywhere.

He does not have a cellphone or any gadgets with him but he can be contacted while boys are with him til Valenzuela.
